Emmanuel Christian's ESM Week!

Emmanuel Christian is thrilled to bring back ESM for a full week after a three-year hiatus from Covid restrictions. ESM (Enrichment, Service, Ministry) is “To serve as a Christ-centered learning community that exists to educate students of Christian families and prepare them for God’s calling”. This year, ESM week is March 20th - 24th, 2023.

Building opportunities outside of our school building during the course of an academic year gives students a chance to see outside of their own world while reflecting and praying about God’s leading in their lives.

Our Enrichment course this year is an educational trip to Washington DC. We have 29 students attending this trip along with Mr. Lundquist, Mrs. Allen, and Mrs. Wagner. Our students will tour our nation’s capital with American heritage experts, DC professionals, and all-pro storytellers as they encounter the area’s numerous sites, museums, memorials, and establishments. Much more than a site-seeing venture, this trip is designed to help our students connect their story to our nation’s narrative and enhance their citizenship.

Butler Springs Camp will be our Service opportunity for our students during the ESM week. Sixteen students will be serving along with Mr. Mercer, Mrs. Agee, and Mr. Lynn for the week. Butler Springs is a place to get away and experience the goodness of God. Whether you are hiking on our property, spending time with friends, or challenging yourself with one of our activities, Butler Springs Christian Camp is a place to grow and learn about the Lord. Our students will be lodging and assisting the campsite by preparing for their summer programs.

Our Ministry opportunity for our students this year is a Mission Trip to Honduras led by Mrs. Augustus, and Mrs. Wenger. We have two students attending this trip with a couple of our alumni students who were not able to attend when they were students due to Covid canceling their trip last minute. God calls all of us to serve, regardless of our age or ability! When you connect with Lifeline, you’ll find opportunities to serve right where you are, in your community, or around the world.

ECA students also have the opportunity to partake in an Internship experience by working alongside professionals in our student's career interests. Through interview questions and time spent observing, students will be able to understand the type of training involved, the time needed before entering a career, and the starting salary in that career. ECA will be sending out 26 students (advisor: Mr. Barnard) this week to experience a career field of their choice.
